Well, hello, I'm Galileo. and It's about time i started posting to the boards. so here you are. I went to a camp once, so to break the ice, they asked us all this question. So I'm trying it out on you guys. If you could be a piece of furniture, what would you be?

I think I'd be a dresser! Get to hold people's underwear and bras and things, ehehhehe. How about you? You didn't tell us what piece of furniture you would be.

i think i'd be a queen sized bed with satin sheets. I love the feel of them. lol. sorry, i guess I should have said that before.

I'd be a grand piano, when played properly they make all sorts of magnificent sounds, and they're just beautiful instruments.

*GRIN* That's a good one, Krystel. I like pianos.

I think I'd like to be my loved one's reclining armchair. then she can sit in my lap all day, and lie on top of me whenever she feels like it. *smile*

I would be a Recliner.

Hmmm given how I enjoy this bench I have on my porch I suppose this would be my answer. I so like to be outdoors to listen to the birds chirp and squirrels scamper. To be under the stars at night and feel warm breezes. Then I can be given to relish in delight of heavenly rain falls and snow of course would tickle me chilly. Nice thing about my bench is that it is sized for two... ah lover's close by.... and to be able to listen as the children romp and play.

be a queen size bed, for my love one to rest on whenever he is tired.

Post 13 by krisme (Ancient Zoner) on Friday, 23-Dec-2005 15:23:45

hmm, probably either a bed or the swing in my backyard

Post 14 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Friday, 23-Dec-2005 15:44:16

Hmm, not sure, but I like all old Furnature, kinda feels more classy to me in a way coz most of it's hand made and it hasn't just been rushed out in bulk. I think I'd like to be different. I'd either like to be an oak fire place, and oak door, or something made out of Mahogany. Random. Yeh.

Post 15 by SensuallyNaturallyLiving4Today (LivingLifeAndLovingItToo) on Sunday, 05-Feb-2006 11:07:46

lol You wouldn't want to be an oak fireplace, you'd want to be an oak mantle piece. If you were an oak fireplace you'd be on this plane of existance for a very very short time. rofl And, no, a piano is not a good choice, because it's not an option. Pianos are not furnature, they are instruments. You do not leave your coffee cup on top, or sit on them swinging your feet, or leave the mail there to be read later, or display your nicknacks, or any of the numerous things that I see piano abusers do. shudder So, you had better change your answer, or I'm sending an ISPCP representitive to your home to see what condition your piano is in. Note, ISPCP, The International Society For The Prevention of Cruelty to Pianos. I'd be a king size bed with black satin sheets, black silk pillow cases, fluffy feather pillows, a doun comforter in a red crushed velvit douvet, red velvitine pillow shams, and a home made quilt with alternating squares of black velvit with red plush roses, and red velvit squares with black plush roses, and of course a white satin backing. I'd welcome all well-behaved Siamese cats to sleep under the pillows, or curl up beneath the blankets. I'd welcome tired German Shepards to flop down on the foot of the bed to have a well-deserved snooze after a hard day's work. I'd welcome small children to sit in a circle and tell ghost stories and jokes during a thunder storm. And I'd welcome lovers to come and enjoy one another on long nights when the wind howls and the rain whips the windows.

Hmmmm. I might want to be an antique coffee table since I love coffee and coffee can start interesting conversations. If not that, then a beautiful girl's bed.

One of those little writing desks, with all the tiny nooks and ink stands, and graceful, carved, curvy legs, and almost hidden drawers, and the curved, corrugated wooden top that slides down, hiding everything inside but making the whole thing almost a work of art, instead of something functional, though it's that too.

lol lamusique tha't's interesting, if i had a piano i'd most likely do that.

Post 19 by julians mom (Veteran Zoner) on Sunday, 05-Mar-2006 13:51:47

i think i would be a my loved ones pillow so he can lay his head on me all day

Post 20 by Perestroika (Her Swissness) on Sunday, 05-Mar-2006 22:44:40

understand that this is just an observation and not meant to be offensive in any way to anyone who has posted to this topic, but why is it that so many people purely want to be something for there loved one to lay on or use? why doesn't anyone want to be anything for their own enjoyment?

Post 21 by PorkInCider (Wind assisted.) on Sunday, 05-Mar-2006 23:52:15

Ok, from a personal point of view, if I really love someone, I enjoy being able to make them happy and comfortable, that would make me happiest, so I get as much pleasure from pleasing them as they do from me doing so.

Post 22 by Pure love (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 07-Mar-2006 10:21:48

A couch. really comfy - I am so lazy that it would suit me well. Hehehe.

Post 26 by Polka dots and Moonbeams (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Wednesday, 08-Mar-2006 13:32:57

Ooh Resonant, I liked yours. Hmmm, I'd be a wing back chair. I'd have slick wood trim; I'd have a solid color and insist on fun pillows on me. The pillows would change with the season. I'd be ever so comfortable, enveloping the ones I love. I'd make sure all my lumps, bumps and springs appear for those few other folk. Ooh and check out my accessories! A cute table beside me just for coffee...hehehehehe! Silly topic!

Post 27 by bozmagic (The rottie's your best friend if you want him/her to be, lol.) on Sunday, 12-Mar-2006 14:48:44

If I was a piece of furniture, I'd want to be several things at Hogwarts, Sheelob's house or here at my own house. At hogwarts, I'd be a four-poster bed, one of the benches or chairs at the Gryffindore table so Harry Potter could sit or zonk on me. Also, I'd be the desk or the chair in Dumbledore's office or a cauldron down in the dungeons, because it would be interesting to have hands-on experience of potion-making. Here, I'd be either my silent night divan bed, my easy chair/bed, because they're really comfortable, our crosstrainer because I'd get a fair amount of use and exercise, my TV unit/trolley as it's really cool and has my hi-fi, video recorder, DVD player, a heap of loads of different videos, DVDs and CDs on it, I'd be our kitchen table as it's an antique and it's got this really nice oldy worldy feel like something at Hogwarts, I'd be one of our two sofas in the living room as they're really, really comfortable and people would zonk on me when they sat and leant back on me and I'd be my digital piano and the piano stool that came with it, because it's a brilliant thing for the budding composer or music artest to have in her mum's dining room downstairs and it does everything you want it to do. At Sheelob's house, I'd be a chair round her kitchen table, her double bed in her room, her computer stand because she'd sit at me all day, her wardrobe or one of her two chests of drawers in her room because they hold all her massive CD collection and cassette tape collection like mine, and they're nicer than mine at home, one of her armchairs or the sofa on the left as you go in her living room or her kitchen table cos that's where all the socialising and everything happens.

awww, that's sweet! i'd be a bed, for my girl to lay on.
